Ruth YOung-LOaeza

Ruth Young Loaeza is the inventor and Founder of NEET®SHEETS, creating the patented bedding system after seeing firsthand how physically demanding and injury prone traditional bed making is for frontline workers. After more than 23 years working as a housekeeper and making over 20,000 beds, Ruth experienced firsthand the intense physical demands and strain created by traditional sheets, bedding components, and the constant mattress lifting that requires repetitive force. Determined to build a smarter, safer, and more efficient solution, she developed the first NEET®SHEETS prototype and refined it into a patented system with several bedding components for hotels, healthcare facilities, and other high volume, high laundering operations where room turns, consistency, and staff wellbeing are critical. Her innovation gained national recognition when she won 1st Place in a New York invention competition, was selected for multiple national accelerator and grant programs, and was later featured by the United States Patent and Trademark Office as a “Budding Visionary Inventor.”

Ruth leads NEET®SHEETS with a worker first philosophy, combining product innovation, operational insight, and advocacy for the people who do the hardest work behind the scenes. Her mission is to help hospitality and healthcare organizations reduce injuries, lower labor and workers’ compensation costs, improve operational efficiency, and create safer, more sustainable environments that support both staff and the guest and patient experience. She continues to expand the NEET®SHEETS system with new, innovative bedding components designed to further improve safety, efficiency, and comfort across frontline operations.

About
NEET®SHEETS

NEET®SHEETS is the only patented elastic free ergonomic bedding system and is engineered to reduce physical strain, significantly accelerate room turns, and strengthen labor stability across high volume hospitality and healthcare environments. The system replaces labor intensive bed making methods that rely on repetitive mattress lifting, excessive tucking, and frequent readjustment. Recognized by the USPTO and supported by independent university research, NEET®SHEETS delivers a 75% reduction in mattress lifting effort, 47% faster bed making, and a 53% productivity improvement. Each component is built for industrial laundering, high turnover operations, and consistent performance across mattress types.

In hospitality settings including hotels of all sizes, resorts, boutique and luxury hotels, and casino hotels, NEET®SHEETS improves room readiness reliability, reduces workers’ compensation exposure, and supports standardized, efficient workflows and consistency. The system aligns with ergonomic principles OSHA highlights for reducing strain in manual tasks, including repetitive lifting, awkward postures, and forceful exertion. These advantages support safer, more productive housekeeping operations that directly influence guest satisfaction and operational ROI.

NEET®SHEETS is also designed for healthcare environments across acute care hospitals, emergency departments, labor and delivery, postpartum units, behavioral health, skilled nursing, long term care, outpatient care, home health, and hospice. The system is compatible with standard hospital mattresses, bariatric mattresses, therapeutic support surfaces, low air loss mattresses, and alternating pressure mattresses. Unlike traditional fitted sheets that loosen or shift, NEET®SHEETS fitted components stay securely in place to support faster room turns, reduce unnecessary strain, and help clinical teams maintain consistent, reliable bed making practices. Customizable to brand and facility standards, the NEET®SHEETS suite delivers durable, ergonomic, high-performance bedding that improves worker wellbeing, operational efficiency, and the overall experience for guests and patients.
